I first began teaching Basketry in the 1980’s out of my upstate NY Twining Basketry Studio. A decade later I returned to school to get a BS in Art Education and taught disciplined based art education to children in the traditional classroom setting.  I’ve used my roles as both self-taught artist and classroom  training to continue to teach today in a myriad of settings.

I teach both Basketry classes and a Start from the Heart         creative wellness art program.

Students typically gain confidence learning a new skills, meeting as a group, and being introduced to a variety of techniques and art mediums. Many have continued to create art to help them in their wellness journey and/or to reap the many other benefits of engaging in the joy of learning and making art!
